Nordic Night – Borgholm, Ölund, Sweden
On July 8, 2023, Wardruna invited fans from all over the world to a full-day event including concerts, workshops and Wardruna meet & greet in the castle ruin of Borgholm in Sweden. Special guest was Norwegian Sami indigenous singer Mari Boine together with her band.
Nordic Night Tour – Europe
In summer 2022, Wardruna embarked on the Nordic Night with special guests Kalandra and Lindy-Fay Hell & Dei Farne. Over the course of July, the tour stopped historic venues in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Romania and many more places, each venue an iconic place in its own right.
Nordic Night – Red Rocks, Colorado, United States
On October 17, 2019 Wardruna hosted the first Nordic Night event in the United States. under open skies at the spectacular Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. Special guest and opening act was Norwegian Sami indigenous singer Mari Boine together with her band.
About Nordic Night
The Nordic Night events have taken on different forms and taken place on different continents. It has always been about presenting both our own art as well as other artists in surroundings that fit and compliment the art that is being presented. We want it to be more than a concert in a club.
So far we have had the pleasure of inviting people to extraordinary venues like Red Rocks Amphitheatre in the US as well as ancient castles and Roman Amphitheatres throughout Europe. Borgholm in Sweden was the first Nordic Night in one of the Nordic countries which included workshops and even a meet & greet session.
This gave more context to our art and therefore potentially even more depth to the concert experience. We are continuously developing the Nordic Night concept and bringing it to more places and people and invite them into our world.
